Inclusive from the start

We warmly welcome children with additional needs, developmental differences or emerging needs.

We believe every child deserves to be seen, heard and supported.

Our SENDCO

Nicola Martin is our SENDCO (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator).

She works closely with you, your child’s key person and – where appropriate – outside professionals.

How we support children with SEND

Individualised strategies and targets Adapted activities and resources Small group or 1:1 support for communication and regulation Visual supports, routines and calm spaces Regular meetings with parents and carers

Speech and Language

Our children are unique and in all areas, develop individually. Often, speech and language is an area that may require support for a short period of time, sometimes for a longer and more formal intervention. To ensure our children have the optimum opportunity to develop their speaking and listening skills, our staff utilise the ‘Tizzy Talk’ resource by Early Talk Boost Speech and Language.

Early Talk Boost

Early help

If we notice something your child finds tricky (for example speech sounds, sensory needs, managing big feelings), we will speak to you early, kindly and privately.

Working in partnership to support parents and children is our underpinning ethos to helping you achieve the best outcome for your child

Transition to school

We can create transition plans and share strategies with your child’s next setting, with your consent, so they get a confident start.

Practicing getting ready for school at their own pace and most importantly, through play
