My name is Lucy and I’m the Manager at The Castle Pre-School, where I’ve worked since 2012. I have 28 years of experience in early years education and have held a management role since 2021.
I’m enthusiastic, reliable and calm under pressure. I pride myself on being determined, highly organised and motivated by new challenges, and I’m currently studying for my Level 7 in Early Years Professional Leadership.
Nicola Martin
SENDCO
I’ve worked at The Castle Pre-School for ten years and recently took on the role of SENDCO, gaining valuable experience and knowledge since starting.
I love working in partnership with families and professionals to achieve the best outcomes for our children.
Charlotte Weaver
Level 3 educator
I’ve worked at The Castle Pre-School for over ten years and over the next year I will be training to become a Maths Champion, focusing on supporting mathematical development and improving outcomes for children.
I love working with our children and really enjoy organising our events and crafts.
Harriet Henderson
Level 3 Early Years Educator
I’m Harriet. I’ve been a mum for 8 years and developed a love for working with children, so I decided to make a career change and join The Castle Pre-School.
I started at the pre-school in January 2025 and am pursuing an apprenticeship in early years to develop my knowledge and skills. I’m excited to see where this career takes me.
Justine Moran

I’m currently completing my Level 3 Early Years apprenticeship and I’m excited about this new stage of my development.
I’ve worked with children throughout my career, and I love getting to know them and watching them grow, develop and achieve in the early years.
Angie Newman
Level 3 Early Years Educator
I’ve been part of The Castle Pre-School for eight years. I love working in partnership with children and their families and building great relationships to support each child’s development.
Outside of work, I enjoy walks with my family and our dog, arts and crafts, and exploring nature.
Sarah Sheene
Level 3 Early Years Educator
For five years I was a stay-at-home mum and a student host, and when the chance came to start a new career in early years education, I took it!
I’m also a qualified hairdresser and interior designer. I love being creative, but my real passion is working with children: engaging in activities, watching them explore and supporting their development.
Catherine Bargent
Level 3 Early Years Educator
I’ve worked at The Castle Pre-School for just over four years. I have a degree in Occupational Therapy but changed careers when I had my family, and I’m mum to three grown-up children. Over the last 22 years I’ve worked in a variety of pre-schools and one school.
I’m passionate about introducing our children to gardening and nature, and I love being outdoors. I value building strong relationships with children and helping establish a positive foundation for their lifelong learning.
